"Pet Tails": What sense is this??

This isn't as much about my pets as it is about me. But it concerns them, obviously.

I have five cats: Porkey, Tabby, Athena, Whiskers, and Sylvester.

I have five food dishes for them to eat out of.

I have two litter boxes going at the same time for the five of them to use.

How many water dishes do you think I have for them? Three? Four? Two?!

Try one. One water dish? I have every other aspect of pet care for them thought out and taken care of, but I can only have one water dish going for them? What sense is that?!

We are down to 7 cats at the moment. Dinner time is anarchy. Whoever shows up eats. Whoever does not loses out and has to suck on dry food.

The sense of only having one watering hole for all the critters is obvious. You only have to keep one bowl topped off. The cats and Stub, our mutt don't seem to mind. Just don't let it go dry. They can get right grumpy when that happens.

That's how mine are! If the water bowl gets dry they get grumpy - even more so than when their food dishes go empty with crumbs. But with having five cats, it just makes more sense to keep more than one water dish going.

What I do have for their water dish is this contraption from Walmart that is like a water fountain. It gets sucked up the back, runs down this include into this bowl at the bottom, where its then sucked out the back, up, down, around, so forth. I think from a few times of it going dry the motor burnt out as it won't turn on now at all. So they do need another one of those that'll work - as they work great in the summer during the heat to keep their water cool.

I dunno, I just think it'd make more sense to me to have 2 water bowls going for them instead of just the one. I just don't know why I haven't gotten them a second one yet. :)
